Edit: I forgot to mention that the only jubes I knew before today are these Dutch sweets (salty licorice). I eat Jubes!

Jokes aside. If I was a man, I would want to wear anything and everything designed by Henrik Vibskov. This Danish fashion designer graduated from the famous Central St Martins in London, and besides making a name in fashion, he seems to be a bit of an all-around creative talent. He is no stranger to music, film, and fine arts, and you can see it in his designs.

Muxtape

There is a reason why I’ve never been big into making mixtapes. Don’t get me wrong, I love the ones people have made for me (apparently you do so when you’re trying to woo someone!) and I would love to return the gesture. But I can’t choose! There are simply too many variables.

In the last few days I’ve come across Muxtape here and there and everywhere. I decided to give it a go. I’m not going to tell you how long it took me to pick just 12 tracks. After much head scratching I had to narrow the selection down to bands beginning with an ‘M’. M for Muxtape or M for Milla, you decide. Anyhow, here it is, my Muxtape.

Today I have reviewed three albums and here are the results.

1. The Long Blondes: Couples

Review: I don’t think so. At least not after the first listen.

2. MGMT: Oracular Spectacular

Review: Funny noises, eclectic, nice!

3. The Parlor Mob: And You Were A Crow

Review: Horse shit. That said, I’m sensing the same sort of (heavy) metal influences in a lot of the music of the moment. Maybe it’ll just take some getting used to.
